A Marwari kitchen, 300 km from home

RJ19 began on a terrace in Jodhpur, where papads were rolled at dawn and left to dry under the desert sun. Recipes moved down the family — never written, only tasted and corrected.
When the family moved to Ahmedabad in 2019, the kitchen came along. What started as boxes shared with neighbours turned into a small production kitchen serving thousands of homes across the city.
We still make everything by hand, in batches small enough that someone tastes each one before it is sealed. Cold-pressed mustard oil for the pickles, pure desi ghee for the sweets, sun and time for the papad. Nothing else.
Our promise is simple: if it would not be served at our own family table, it does not leave the kitchen.
